Megan Reed left her shift at Hubbard’s WLIV (now WSHE) at the end of September 2014 to battle cancer that had spread to various parts of her body. She died Sunday afternoon. The Chicagoland Media Blog reports that while seeking medical advice for pain in her back in 2014, doctors found breast cancer. The cancer then spread and tumors were found in her brain. She underwent surgeries and radiation treatments in the hopes to beat the deadly disease.
