I was working for a TV/AM/FM combo that sported the finest of facilities, and where my AMer alone was raking in $5 million a year — in late-‘70s dollars!

Roy Spencer (pictured) started his company, Perma-Seal Basement Systems, four decades ago from the back of his pick-up truck. He had that one vehicle, no employees, and only needed to support and feed himself. In 2018, Perma-Seal has three offices and 170 employees in the Chicagoland area.
