Pugh Takes Over Phoenix For CBS Radio
Dave Pugh is the new Senior VP/Market Manager and Director of Sales for the cluster of CBS stations in Phoenix, which includes KMLE-FM (Country), KOOL-FM (Classic Hits), and KZON-FM (Top 40). Pugh succeeds Tim Pohlman, who was recently appointed Senior Vice President and Market Manager of the division’s stations in Chicago.
Cox Atlanta Taps Tad Lemire For B98.5
Tad Lemire will join Melissa Carter on B98.5 in Atlanta. Lemire, formerly on CMG Tulsa’s Mix 96, will be half of new Tad & Melissa Show weekday mornings 5 to 9 a.m. beginning Feb 1.

Arrest Made After Former Host Killed
Police in Gary, IN say a person of interest is in custody after former radio talk show host Velia Taneff and her daughter were killed. ABC 7 reports that 64-year old Lana Taneff was found dead in the family's home and her mother, 86-year-old Velia was found at her rental property next door.
JVC Brings Shackelford Back To Orlando
Len Shackelford will be programming WOTW, The WOLF, in Orlando for JVC Media. Shackelford has worked in Raleigh, Columbus, and most recently as Cox Media Group's Orlando Operations Manager and Country Format Coordinator. Afternoon Drive host Murph Dawg, who was the PD, will remain in that slot and will handle APD duties.
Former WGCI PD Kris Kelley Passes
Kelley was well-known to Chicago listeners as an on-air personality with WGCI-FM. In October, 2015, iHeartMedia also gave her dual PD duties with WGCI and WKSC-FM. She was 45 years old.
Bill Moffett Passes
He was one of the biggest rock radio voices in Houston and went on to use his booming voice to start his own production company. Mike McGuff reported Moffett's passing by writing radio "lost a musical genius."

Christopher “Matthews” Wagnon will take up the co-host position of the New KMLE @ 107.9 morning show, effective immediately. He joins Nina D. who has been with the morning show since November 2012.
