George Francis Passes
Longtime broadcaster George Francis has died. Francis sold radio in Charlotte, sold jingles for TM Studio, managed WAKY/WVEZ in Louisville, WTAM/WDOK in Cleveland and WMAG in Greensboro. He went on to own KRMD/KEEL in Shreveport and WMYI in Greenville, SC.
Luke Bryan The Humanitarian
Luke Bryan has been named the Country Radio Broadcasters 2021 Artist Humanitarian Award recipient. Bryan was recognized with the honor during his appearance on the annual “CRS Artist Interview,” sponsored by BMI, during CRS 2021: The Virtual Experience.
Townsquare Inks New Deal With Free Beer
Townsquare Media says it has extended its contract with the morning show Free Beer & Hot Wings, which is heard on 17 Townsquare stations. “This is a labor of love,” said Gregg “Free Beer” Daniels. “Townsquare Media has been a tremendous friend and partner to us.”

Legendary Philadelphia General Manager Cody Anderson has died. The cause of death has not yet been reported. Anderson's death was first reported on Twitter by Philadelphia City Council President Darrell Clarke.

Nick Cannon, who will appear on the March 9th issue of Radio Ink Magazine, is returning to Meruelo's Hip-Hop station in Los Angeles Power 106 (KPWR-FM). Nick's official return will be this Thursday. The show will be heard 6am-10am PST

Atlanta native Mo Quick joins HOT 107.9, as they celebrate 25 years of mainstream Hip Hop. As a former intern, Mo Quick is no stranger to Radio One Atlanta. She left the market to accept a position with Radio One’s WZAK in Cleveland.
