Cox Media Group has appointed Rob Babin SVP for Radio. Babin will be responsible for CMG's 65 radio stations in 11 markets across the country. He's been with Cox for 20 years and replaces Bill Hendrich who retired at the end of 2020. 

Fox News Media has signed civil rights lawyer Leo Terrell as a contributor. He will provide commentary and analysis across all platforms including Fox News Channel and Fox Business Network.

The Birmingham Board of Education held a special election to fill a vacant seat. WJLD host Walter “Big Walt” Wilson won with more than 62 percent of the vote. Wilson received 480 out of 767 votes cast. WJLD AM/FM is owned by Richardson Broadcasting.

KISS 104.1 (WALR-FM/Atlanta) has added Nina Brown as co-host of The Frank Ski Show. The show premiers February 1.

iHeartMedia has named Yesenia Bello as Senior Vice President of Diversity and Inclusion. The new position will focus on development of comprehensive long-term and measurable diversity and inclusion strategies across the company.

America’s Healthcare Advocate is adding an extra hour next month. The Radio America syndicated program will expand to two hours February 6.

After a decade on the station, and one of the few female voices in Atlanta sports, Sandra Golden announced on The Fan (WCNN) Tuesday that February 19 will be her last day. Golden works the morning show on the station with Brian Finneran.

Aspen Public Radio Executive Director Tammy Terwelp is leaving Aspen’s public radio station to lead Community Radio for Northern Colorado - The Colorado Sound and NPR station KUNC in Greeley, Colo. She's replacing Neil Best at CRNC, who's leaving after 48 years.
