Emmis Announces Promotions in Indy
Emmis Communications, 93.5FM & 107.5FM, The Fan has promoted three. The changes are the result of the move of Jeff Rickard to Boston to Program WEEI-FM.
The Fan Denver Adds Digital Host
Rachel Vigil has joined 104.3 The Fan (KKFN-FM) as the station’s new digital host/producer. Along with taking care of social media and web work, she will make regular appearances on air.
Nate Weaver Joins iHeart Wilmington
Nate Weaver is the new Promotions Director for iHeartMedia Wilmington/Salisbury. Weaver comes over from Audacy in Philadelphia.
WLS Finds Cameron Replacement
WLS-AM in Chicago has moved Mallory Vor Broker to the position of reporter for 890 WLS-AM. Vor Broker will cover Chicago City Hall and the political beat. She takes over for Bill Cameron who retired on August 20th after a 51-year career.
Eddie is Back
Eddie Mendoza, known as DJ Eddie One, returns to Spanish Broadcasting System’s KXOL Mega 96.3 FM in Los Angeles, the same station he started his radio career in 2006. He will host the 3-7 PM weekday afternoon drive time slot. He will also pick up Music Director duties.
Bo Snerdley Joins Daily Lineup at WABC
Red Apple Group has announced that James Golden, a.k.a. Bo Snerdley, will host the 4P-5P weekday slot on WABC-AM in New York City. He will continue to host his Saturday morning show on the station. Golden replaces Lidia Curanaj.who had been hosting that hour.
Jess Poxson Joins KICKS-99
Jess Poxson is the newest member of the 'Kicks Wake Up Krew' on WKXC-FM, Augusta, GA. She is Co-host with Dub Bryan on the Beasley station.
HoF Honors for Todd ‘N’ Tyler
Todd Brandt and Mike Tyler are now members of the Nebraska Broadcasters Association Hall of Fame. The Todd 'N' Tyler Radio Empire, syndicated program is based in Omaha.
Former WBGO PD Thurston Briscoe Passes
Thurston Briscoe programmed New Jersey Public Radio's WBGO-FM for more than 20 years. Briscoe, who left the station in 2013, has died.
Reese Steps in as Interim Director
Heather Reese has been named interim director of Wisconsin Public Media, the division at the University of Wisconsin — Madison that oversees Wisconsin Public Radio and PBS Wisconsin. The announcement follows the recent death of Director Gene Purcell.
