Red Apple Group has announced that James Golden, a.k.a. Bo Snerdley, will host the 4P-5P weekday slot on WABC-AM in New York City. He will continue to host his Saturday morning show on the station. Golden replaces Lidia Curanaj.who had been hosting that hour.

Heather Reese has been named interim director of Wisconsin Public Media, the division at the University of Wisconsin — Madison that oversees Wisconsin Public Radio and PBS Wisconsin. The announcement follows the recent death of Director Gene Purcell.
WBAL’s Jim Russ Passes
'The Dean of Baltimore Traffic Reporting' Jim Russ has died. Russ kept a keen eye on the roads in the WBAL/98 Rock listening area for the past decade. The station reported that Russ died suddenly. The cause was not announced.

New Jersey public radio station WBGO has hired Stevan Smith as the institution's first Chief Content Officer. Smith is no stranger to the NYC area as he most recently served as Assistant Program Director at WNYC, and used to work for WBGO.
