Former KROQ Star Joins Podcast Radio In The UK
Gene Baxter co-hosted the Kevin and Bean morning show on KROQ in LA for 30 years. He retired at the end of 2019 and moved back to the UK, where he was born. Baxter has been hired as the second of Podcast Radio’s "podjocks" – a cross between a DJ and announcer.
Hubbard Takes Charge At KOSU
Rachel Hubbard has been named the Executive Director of Oklahoma State University’s public radio station KOSU. The news and Triple A station broadcasts throughout central, northern, and northeastern Oklahoma, and portions of Kansas, Missouri, and Arkansas.
Vibenomics Promotes Brenner
Paul Brenner has been promoted from Chief Strategy Officer to President and Chief Strategy Officer for Vibenomics. Brenner will now own the overall vision and go-to-market strategy for Vibenomics’ audio out-of-home advertising, according to a company press release.
McLaughlin Gets One-Hour Show
Hubbard St. Louis has announced that Dan McLaughlin of Fox Sports Midwest has joined 101 ESPN (WXOS-FM) as the station’s lead St. Louis Cardinals contributor. McLaughlin will provide daily Cardinals reports, interviews, and host a one-hour weekly show on the Cards.
Howes To Go On-Air In The Triangle
NPR News/Talk WUNC-FM in Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill, is adding its first on-air host. Cindy Howes, formerly the morning host of WYEP-FM in Pittsburgh and current host of Folk Alley and the Basic Folk podcast, takes up the role.
Toronto Stations Launch New Morning Shows
At Alternative station CFNY-FM (102.1 The Edge) it's called The B Team and features Shawna, Chris Z, and Jay Brody. Meanwhile, over at Rock station CJXY-FM (Y108), the morning show slot will now be manned by Taz & Jim (pictured).
Rome Launches World Tour
