NPR has announced that Leila Fadel has been selected as the fourth host of Morning Edition, NPR’s morning drive time news magazine carried by 834 public radio stations, and Up First, NPR’s daily morning news podcast.
ESPN Radio Reporter Dies at 44
Long-time Chicago Bears beat reporter for ESPN radio in Chicago Jeff Dickerson has died after battling colon cancer. Dickerson's wife Caitlin passed away, also from cancer, in 2019. They leave behind an 11-year-old son.

92Q DJ Porkchop is leaving Baltimore after about 20 years. DJ Porkchop (Johnny Doswell) announced he's leaving radio to be with family in Las Vegas.

KALL Voice Of Reason Passes
From 1971 to 2004 Tom Barberi was known as “The Voice of Reason” on Salt Lake City station KALL. He died Christmas Eve at age 78.

iHeart To Launch Quinn on 35 Stations
The Martha Quinn Show will debut nationwide on January 10. The midday show will launch on over 35 stations. Quinn was one of the original VJs when MTV launched in 1981. She joined iHeart in 2016 as the host of the Martha Quinn Morning Show on KOSF in San Francisco.

After 45 Years Richards Retires
Fort Wayne on-air host Barb Richards is retiring after 45 years in radio. She's been with WAJI-FM since 1984. Wednesday was declared Barb Richards Day by a local County Commissioner. The CBS-TV affiliate has a nice piece on Barb's retirement HERE.
