This one will make you wonder if the government is trying to come up with create ways to pull in a little extra revenue. And, with the FCC planning to hike fees on broadcasters, COVID-19 raging across the country and radio getting hit hard by a severe ad revenue decline, it's a head-scratcher.

It's hard to believe Mike Golic will not land a radio gig somewhere, with his 20 years experience, knowledge of all sports and desire to stay in the game. The 57-year old will see his 20-year run with ESPN come to an end July 31 when Golic & Wingo, which never really clicked like Mike & Mike did, is replaced by Keyshawn Johnson and friends.

Boston is one of the biggest sports towns in America. It's four major sports teams are consistently competing for championships. Fans expect nothing less. The battle for sports talk supremacy in the Boston market is just as fierce, however as The Boston Globe points out, this last ratings period, Beasley's WBZ dominated Entercom's WEEI.

Vulture is reporting that The Breakfast Club's Charlamagne Tha God will host a talk show about current events and cultural issues on Comedy Central. The weekly show will be 30 minutes according to the report. The goal is to get the show in production by the election.

Bonneville's Denver Country station, KYGO-FM celebrates it's 40th anniversary this week. In celebration the station has several events planned for Saturday.

El Dorado Broadcasters, which owns stations in Victor Valley, California and Yuma, Arizona has appointed Chris Fleming as the Executive Vice President for the company and GM for the company's Victor Valley stations. 

Radio host Bob Stei and business entrepreneur Larendee Roos have launched a business podcast called "Work With Me." It covers all aspects of the modern day workforce from an employee and employer side.

Here are some that are perhaps more important today than ever as we all navigate the impact of a pandemic.

TalkRadio 77WABC has added Frank Morano to its lineup. Morano will host The Frank Morano Program, 7-9 PM every Sunday evening starting July 12 and will begin anchoring Morano in the Morning, 1-5 AM weekdays beginning in August.

Marylee Williams has been named the new Editor and Producer at 90.5 WESA. She will Join the staff July 20 to produce the daily magazine program, The Confluence hosted by Kevin Gavin.
