That's the world we live in these days, when being down under 30% is a win. Saga is the latest public radio company to confirm that April was the revenue bottom caused by the pandemic.

That new position will be filled by Bill Smee, who's worked at CNN, NBC News and Slate. Smee is charged with enhancing the Entercom news brands. Entercom owns some of the most successful news stations in radio, including 1010WINS and WCBS in New York, WBBM in Chicago and KNX in L.A.

Results Radio has hired Kelsey Sauers as APD and PM Driver for KEWB-FM in Redding. Sauers arrives from Alpha Media in Mankato where she's been on the air since 2019.

iHeart's WAIO-FM in Rochester fired Kimberly Ray and Barry Beck in June following racist remarks Ray made on the air back in June. On Wednesday Earl David Reed, Megan Carter and Pat McMahon were hired to fill that afternoon drive slot. They will be called The Big Show.

SBG has announced that Chris Cruise is joining the syndication program Throwback Nation Radio. Cruise has worked mornings at 98.7 AMP Radio (WDZH-FM) in Detroit, 103.5 KISS FM (KSAS-FM) in Boise and nights at 94.1 KMPS in Seattle.

SuiteRadio has announced that it will be syndicating the morning team of Bud Ford and Jerry Broadway. The duo hosted mornings on WIL in St. Louis for four years before the COVID cutbacks.

COVID canceled the Newport Jazz Festival this year, but 88.3 FM WBGOis bringing the festival to the air. Jazz Festival broadcast archives will be used to fill eight hours of programming on August 8 and 9.

One of the most well know DJs of the 60's in Seattle, Pat O'Day has died, he was 85. O'Day is most remembered for ruling the afternoon airwaves at KJR-AM.

95.5 WSB (WSB-AM/WSBB-FM) hosted a two day radio event at the end of July to raise money for the Aflac Cancer and Blood Disorders Center of Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. The 20th annual event brought in more than 1.5 million dollars.
