KMFA Moves Into New Facility
After 43 years of broadcasting from a much smaller studio, KMFA-FM, the oldest independent all-classical station in Texas, has officially relocated to its new, state-of-the-art building in East Austin. The 18,000-square-foot facility triples the size of the former studios.

Progressive Radio’s Number One
According to Media Monitors, the insurance company aired 47,742 commercials on radio stations across the country last week making it the number one national advertiser for radio. The Internal Revenue Service moved up to number 2 (from 37th).
iHeart Launches New Sports Network
iHeartMedia has launched the iHeartSports Network that will deliver short-form sports reports to over 500 stations. The new network will feature Cris Collinsworth, Colin Cowherd, Dan Patrick, Joy Taylor and others. iHeart's Premiere Networks also syndicates Fox Sports Radio which delivers long-form sports programming.
KMJ Fresno Scores Big For Local Food Bank
Fresno News Talker KMJ teamed up with local agriculture company Gar Bennett to raise money for The Central California Food Bank. KMJ listeners donated $361,000 and Gar Bennett matched every donation with 50 cents for a grand total of $541,500.
Cumulus Raises Over $100K For Homeless Charity
Cumulus' Dallas Sports Talker KTCK-FM (The Ticket) raised $105,972 for Dallas non-profit Cornerstone Clothes Closet through its 7th annual Drop Your Pants Clothing Drive. The mission of Cornerstone Clothes Closet is to clothe DFW’s homeless.

New South Radio has made changes at its stations in Jackson, MS. Long time US96 (WUSJ) PD Nikki Brown will be moving across the hall to program the cluster’s CHR Y101 (WYOY), while US96 morning host Traci Lee adds PD stripes at US96 and 93-5 The Legend (WHJT).
