Your programming wizard may not know how to prospect, conduct a CNA, price, or close … but they can be a valuable resource to making a deal happen with someone who is not presently a client.

South Seas Broadcasting’s 3 stations in American Samoa recently held a week-long Tonga Relief Drive, including a radiothon, for folks in the nearby Pacific nation of Tonga.  Tonga was devastated by a volcanic eruption and tsunami in January.  A total of over $250,000 was raised to assist with recovery efforts.

NPR has selected Ayesha Rascoe to host its Sunday morning edition of Weekend Edition Sunday, which is heard on 794 public radio stations. Before joining NPR, Rascoe worked for Reuters.

WYMS-88.9FM in Milwaukee is offering HYFIN, a new Urban Alternative channel. The non-commercial Radio Milwaukee station offering will feature multiple styles of Black music.

More than $13,000 was raised by Lite Rock 97.3 (WYXL-FM) Ithaca. The Wine & Dine Radiothon benefits the United Way of Tompkins County.

104.7 WONK-FM will broadcast Major League Soccer's D.C. United games this season. The Spanish broadcasts will be carried on the iHeartRadio App.

SAG-AFTRA and New York Public Radio have reached a global settlement that withdraws the complaints issued to the National Labor Relations Board. A pay increase is included in the settlement.
