Samantha Max, criminal justice reporter for WPLN in Nashville, has been honored with a 2021 Daniel Schorr Journalism Award. Her investigative report on a systemic pattern of misconduct, silence and retaliation in the Nashville police department earned her the award.

WMMR Philadephia Preston & Steve Show Morning Personality Kathy Romano hosted her 13th annual Kathy’s Cuts event to benefit Wigs for Kids. The event produced 68 hair donations to benefit the non-profit organization that helps children “look like themselves” and live their lives.
Mahone Memorial Service Set
Former RAB Executive Mike Mahone had many friends in the radio industry. His memorial service will be Saturday, May 14 at 1 PM CDT. The service will be livestreamed for those who are unable to attend. Mahone was 73 when he died after a battle with pancreatic cancer. He also had Parkinson’s Disease for many years.
