WMMR Philadephia Preston & Steve Show Morning Personality Kathy Romano hosted her 13th annual Kathy’s Cuts event to benefit Wigs for Kids. The event produced 68 hair donations to benefit the non-profit organization that helps children “look like themselves” and live their lives.

Former RAB Executive Mike Mahone had many friends in the radio industry. His memorial service will be Saturday, May 14 at 1 PM CDT. The service will be livestreamed for those who are unable to attend. Mahone was 73 when he died after a battle with pancreatic cancer. He also had Parkinson’s Disease for many years.

Channel 3 in Memphis is reporting that WDIA host Bobby O'Jay died while he was at the station Tuesday morning. Midday host Bev Johnson told the station when O’Jay would open the phone line at 9 a.m., the radio station was only playing music.

Vincent 'Mojo' Wilson is the new Operations Manager for Cumulus in Mobile. Wilson will also serve as PD for WABD-FM and WXQW-AM and will be heard on-air on WABD-FM weekdays.

GeoBroadcast Solutions has promoted Jean Paul Littleton to Chief Technology Officer. Littleton currently heads Spectrum Design and will oversee and continue the development of GBS technologies.

Matty Siegel announced his retirement from KISS 108 in Boston Tuesday morning. He's been hosting mornings at the station for 41 years. He'd been off the air for two weeks and his retirement announcement was pre-recorded.
