“The Stan Bell Morning Show" has debuted on 1070 WDIA in Memphis. Bell will continue as host of his long-running afternoon show on iHeartMedia Memphis sister station V101 (KJMS-FM).

Luke Kuechly is coming back to the Carolina Panthers to be part of the 2022 radio broadcast for seven games. Kuechly was selected by Carolina in the first round of the 2012 NFL Draft and earned Defensive Rookie of the Year honors. He played eight seasons, with the Panthers.

Bob & Tom Show co-host and news director Kristi Lee will be inducted into the Indiana Broadcast Pioneers Hall of Fame Class of 2022. Lee is one of six Hoosier broadcasting icons to be inducted into the Hall of Fame in October.

Marco Nation has joined K100 (WKKO-FM) Toledo for The Marco Nation Morning Show, with co-host Lyn Cayse. Nation joins the Cumulus station from Saga Communication's Milwaukee radio group.

Josh Blumm has been promoted to Revenue Manager for the Results Radio cluster in Chico, CA. Blumm joined Results Radio in 2019 as an Account Executive.

Because it is still a federal crime to promote the sale of a controlled substance, and your license is doled out by the federal government, radio station owners have been reluctant to take ads promoting legal marijuana sales. The legal advice up to now has been that it could become an issue at license renewal time so don't risk it.

The top six radio deals in Q1 2022 totaled $57.2 million dollars. The figures are part of a new quarterly analysis from Kagan, the media research unit of S&P Global Market Intelligence.
