On October 19th at the Javits Center, a special executive session called “One-on-One With Radio Trailblazers” will feature Urban One Founder Cathy Hughes and Beasley Media Group CEO Caroline Beasley. ABC News podcast "The Dropout: Elizabeth Holmes on Trial" has wrapped up season two with a bonus episode. The Episode features actress Amanda Seyfried and Liz Meriwether in a wide-ranging conversation about the making of the limited streaming TV Series based on the podcast.

The National Association of Black Owned Broadcasters will host the 46th Annual Fall Broadcast Conference in Washington, D.C. in October. The conference will be part of the 2022 By Black Conference presented by the U.S. Black Chambers and will include the Power of Urban Radio Forum.

Matt Longhenry has been hired as Music Director and On-Air Host, Afternoon Drive, for WFMS-FM Indianapolis. Longhenry joins the country station from WYTZ-FM in St. Joseph, Missouri.

Audacy has elevated DJ Squintz to Assistant Brand Manager in San Francisco and Sacramento. He will support KRBQ-FM and KSFM-FM with programming leadership involving air talent, music, operations and promotions.

Six groups met with FCC Chair Jessica Rosenworcel, Media Bureau Chief Holly Saurer and Sanford Williams, Special Advisor to Rosenworcel. The groups lobbied for the rule change that would allow broadcasters to target smaller communities with local content.

Angela Yee announced Wednesday morning that she's getting her own show. iHeart is giving Yee a nationally syndicated daily midday show and Yee stated that it will be heard in New York City on Power 105.1, where The Breakfast Club is heard now.
