Kent State's WKSU-FM, a non-commercial public radio station in Cleveland, Ohio, had a signal problem. The operator, Ideastream Public Media, had consolidated NPR signals and that left some in the metro outside of the broadcast area.

After the sale of Results Radio's 101.5 K-Hits (KCCL) in Sacramento to Hispanic Broadcaster Lazer Broadcasting, the Classic Hits station has a fond farewell planned. Friday, April 7 will feature a K-Hits Celebration with current and former staff.

Celebrating 50 years in the radio industry in 2023, WDXB Birmingham's Dollar Bill Lawson announced his plans to retire. Lawson made the announcement on his morning show on 102.5 The Bull. His final show date has not been set.

Andrea Clay makes a move to Cox Media Group to be the new National Sales Manager for their radio arm, responsible for the Atlanta, Athens, and Jacksonville markets. Clay previously served as National Sales Manager at Beasley Media Group.

Molly Cruz has been appointed as the new Brand Manager of Audacy's B96 (WBBM-FM) in Chicago, replacing Todd Cavanaugh. Cruz will oversee content strategy and operations, while working closely with talent like Erik Bradley and The Morning Mess.

The Radio Mercury Awards has extended its entry deadline from April 10 until April 24, with credits due on April 28. The eligibility air period for entries now runs from January 1, 2022, to April 24, 2023. Guidelines for broadcast and non-broadcast radio are provided on the RMA site.

Audacy's sports wagering "BetQL Daily" debuted a new co-host this week. Ed Egros joined Joe Ostrowski and Erin Hawksworth on April 3. Egros is an experienced sports reporter and analyst who has worked with FOX Sports, Bally Sports West, and the NFL.
