iHeartMedia Pittsburgh and Duquesne University have signed a broadcast agreement. Duke football and men’s basketball games will be heard on 970 ESPN (WBGG) 104.7 HD2.

While digital companies prosper, the government should not over-regulate broadcasters. That was the message from FCC Commissioner Nathan Simington at the Radio Ink Hispanic Radio Conference in Miami Thursday. Simington produced some eye-popping revenue stats when he compared the big three digital platforms to radio.

That’s what Alicia Menendez said at the Radio Ink Hispanic Radio Conference this week. Menendez is the co-host of the Latina To Latina podcast. She’s also a weekend anchor for MSNBC. The Latina To Latina podcast recently went over 1 million downloads.

Stacie Dupuy got into radio after meeting an on air personality during a remote. "You never know how your life will change with just one interaction," Stacie told Radio Ink. She was in retail sales at the time and didn’t know a thing about radio or outside sales.

Because of COVID concerns; health, travel/tourism and government related activities have been impacted over the last 18 months. The Radio Show was cancelled as a result of these concerns.

Radio Ink President and Publisher Deborah Parenti honored superstar Emilio Estefan with the Medallas de Cortez Distinguished Leadership Award at the Radio Ink Hispanic Radio Conference in Miami last night. The 19-time Grammy Award winner thanked radio for playing the music and artists he helped develop and called the United States the greatest country in the world.
