The New York City Radio Committee, a joint partnership of all the major radio broadcasters in New York City, has developed a marketing campaign to promote the power of radio. The multi-media campaign will focus a special emphasis on advertising agencies and businesses that purchase advertising.

The Golden State Warriors have signed a multi-year contract extension with their flagship radio station KGMZ-FM. The partnership began prior to the 2016-17 season and has included four NBA Finals appearances and three NBA titles.

'The Sandy Show' has been added to the Virtual Jock voice-tracked lineup. VirtualJock.com, offered by New Generation Radio, will provide programming localization and customization for the show’s 15 station affiliates in multiple formats.

WPHT-AM in Philadelphia is welcoming Nick Kayal as a new morning show host. He will join Dawn Stensland and Greg Stocker for 'Kayal and Company' on Talk Radio 1210 WPHT. Current morning show host Rich Zeoli will now host afternoons.

We reported yesterday that KFNS-FM St. Louis Morning Show Host Vic Faust was caught berating his co-host during a commercial break at the station that was recorded and leaked to The St. Louis Post Dispatch. Faust was fired from his TV anchor position yesterday and his radio job is on hold.

The Independent Broadcasters Association presented its first IBA Members-Only “In-Focus” Conference Wednesday at the Intercontinental at Doral in Miami. The inaugural one-day event was held in conjunction with The Radio Ink Radio Masters Sales Summit.

In a streak lasting since 2014, Hubbard Radio's WTOP-FM in Washington, DC was once again the top billing radio station in 2021. BIA estimates that WTOP-FM pulled $70 million in revenues in 2021, up 12.9% from $62 million in 2020.
