Radio executives from all over the country are heading to Las Vegas for the 2023 Consumer Electronics Show this week. Buzz Knight will have daily reports for Radio Ink from the floor of the show, and the radio industry is hosting a special VIP reception.

Sean Anderson, a radio broadcaster who worked at Team Radio in Oklahoma for more than two decades, died on Christmas Eve at the age of 51. In addition to his work as a broadcaster, Anderson was a motivational speaker who gained national attention through his weight loss blog.

Web domain registrar GoDaddy is running an auction for the domain name Radio.com, which is currently owned by Audacy. The auction comes as executives explore ways to sell various assets in order to offset potential revenue slowdown amid future economic uncertainty.

The Broadcasters Foundation of America says there's still time to make a donation to help colleagues in the broadcast industry who are in need of financial support. Donations made through the end of the month are tax-deductible for 2022.

Denny McKeown, a Cincinnati-based broadcaster whose horticulture show was once syndicated on stations across the Midwest, died on Christmas Day at the age of 81. The cause of death was not immediately known; his passing was first reported by a local newspaper.
