Thirty years ago, the radio industry's ownership scheme was completely upended, as President Clinton signed into law the Telecommunications Act of 1996. On March 26, the House Subcommittee on Communications and Technology will examine what worked, and what needs a fix.

(Deborah Parenti) It’s been around almost as long as radio itself, but many broadcasters still tend to dismiss Christian formats as “less than” or not “real” radio. Or, they bemoan that the stations are in the market, but not part of the competitive mix. Reality, however, paints a different picture.

"This year’s finalists reflect the strength and diversity of Hispanic radio, from emerging voices to veteran leaders who continue to elevate the medium,” said Deborah Parenti, President/Publisher of Radio Ink.
