(By Charlie Sislen) As we exit our 15 months of hibernation, it is time to look back and determine what helped make us better sales people, and what kinds of things we need to return to in order to become more effective again.

Due to the coronavirus, the 55th Academy of Country Music Awards, set for Sunday, April 5 from Las Vegas are postponed and will be rescheduled to air on CBS in September, at a date, time, and venue to be determined.

WDRV-FM/Chicago’s The Sherman & Tingle Show (Brian Sherman, Steve Tingle, and Executive Producer Jill Egan) recently completed a charitable effort to benefit Wright-Way Rescue – a non-profit organization whose mission aims to reduce the number of homeless pets euthanized in the Midwest each year.  

According to The New York Post, ESPN New York, now run by Good Karma Broadcasting, plans to change all programming to local in an attempt to chip away at Audacy's WFAN which crushes ESPN in the New York ratings.

Voting for the 2017 National Radio Hall of Fame inductees begins today. 24 nominations in six categories were determined by the organization’s nominating committee. Four categories will be voted on by a voting participant panel made up of 1,000 industry professionals. The other two categories will be voted on by the public.

The Hubbard all news station will need to construct a new building for its awards and trophies soon. The Washington, DC all-news station took home 3 first place Chesapeake Associated Press Broadcasters Association awards over the weekend.

The KXLY Radio Group in Spokane has launched OPERATION: GRUB and GROWLERS. With restaurants and businesses forced to follow restrictions on how they operate, the KXLY Radio Group is doing everything they can to help them keep their doors open.

The first iHeartRadio Podcast Awards will be held at the iHeartRadio Theater in Los Angeles Friday, January 18, 2019 at 8 p.m. Listeners will vote for their favorite podcasts online in 22 categories.
