BFoA Taking Young Radio Talent To The Green For Networking

In its increasing outreach to radio’s young talent, the Broadcasters Foundation of America is hosting a unique golf networking event aimed at providing young professionals with unprecedented access to top-level broadcast industry managers and executives. Sips & Tips will be held alongside the Foundation’s Celebrity Golf Tournament & Fundraiser on Monday, September 11, at the Greenwich Country Club in Connecticut.

The Sips & Tips program will feature a two-hour golf lesson from a professional golfer, then participants will also gain access to an invitation-only reception and dinner.

This initiative follows the successful Media Mixer hosted by the Broadcasters Foundation in July, where junior professionals had the opportunity to network with leading on-air personalities and executives at iHeartMedia’s NYC headquarters.

Broadcasters Foundation of America President Timothy McCarthy said, “Young professionals entering our business need to know they can have a successful career in broadcasting by meeting those who have risen to the top. With these events, we open doors for junior professionals that can lead to long and fulfilling careers in broadcasting. We also bring awareness about our charitable mission to tomorrow’s broadcast leaders, helping to ensure that the Foundation will continue to provide aid for those in our business who need it most.”
