ESPN Considering Adding Pat McAfee To Radio, Reports Say

0

ESPN supposedly aims to expand the reach of The Pat McAfee Show by simulcasting it on national radio as part of its upcoming new schedule. The purported move comes after recent layoffs took numerous ESPN Radio shows off the air.

The 12-3p slot was previously occupied by Jason Fitz and Harry Douglas. However, Fitz was among the 20 on-air personnel released during ESPN’s recent reduction in force. McAfee’s show, already accessible on television and YouTube, will achieve broader distribution if this plan is implemented. According to information gathered by The New York Post, this decision is not yet final.

ESPN has yet to comment on any potential changes. Disney has made sweeping changes at the sports broadcaster this year, including the June cancelation of its syndicated morning show, which is yet to be replaced.
