Star 94.1 FM in San Diego has named Delana Bennett afternoon drive host and APD for the station. Bennett has been a familiar voice in San Diego for almost 20 years. She has served as an on-air personality on Jesse Lozano in the Morning on Star 94.1 since 2012, and was also an on-air personality on the Jeff and Jer Showgram. Prior to Star 94.1 FM, Bennett co-hosted the Greg & Delana Show on XHRM-FM in San Diego.

Delana I listen to 94.1 pretty much everyday while i work in my shop. Ive heard all day today that it was 1st responder friday. I did not here you mention any Police Officers, Fire fighters or medics. As much as i love nurses they generally are not 1 st responders. I know Police officer is a bad word now and has been for the past 10 years but if your gonna have a day for them at least recognize them. They have familys just like you that are going through tougher times then the normal tough times being a spouse or child or mother father grandmother of a Police Officer. They are the 1 st responders that in the last 10 days have been vilified, spit at cursed at shot at murdered trying to protect your right to protest and keep your city from burning. If your not gonna recognize them
Then dont. But dont say you are and recognize someone who is not a 1 st responder because your trying to be PC. Dont get me wrong nurses and doctor’s and all medical staff are as important if not more important then first responders but they are not first responders. Have a nice day
