Armstrong & Getty Help Our Warriors

More than $1 million was raised during the recently concluded five-day event aired on the Sacramento-based Armstrong & Getty Show, that was carried on a dozen iHeartMedia stations. The money will benefit The Warrior Foundation/Freedom Station which purchases plane tickets for injured troops so that they can spend the holidays at home and with their families. The organization also supports the military by providing transitional housing used during both the recovery and transition processes.

“Many of our brave men and women come back from military service with overwhelming burdens to bear,” said co-host Joe Getty. “It’s then that we as Americans have to be there for them. I believe that as their service ends, ours begins.””

“Supporting Warrior Foundation/Freedom Station is one simple way for our community to acknowledge that our freedoms only exist due to their sacrifice,” said co-host Jack Armstrong. “We’re proud to be a part of this effort to support our troops.”

“We say this every year we are totally amazed and grateful for the generosity of Armstrong & Getty’s community of listeners, who continue to support us year-after-year,” said Sandy Lehmkuhler, President and founder of the organization.
