AM 870 LA, CHiPs In For Kids

AM 870 the Answer in Los Angeles partnered with the California Highway Patrol last week for the annual “CHiPs for Kids” toy drive. More than 200 toys and $500 in cash and gift cards were dropped off during the three-hour broadcast.

Morning show hosts Brian Whitman and Jennifer Horn were live in front of station offices in Glendale, encouraging listeners to drop off a toy, gift card, or cash. Those who stopped by were treated to a free coffee and doughnuts from Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf, and Krispy Kreme Doughnuts.

The campaign has benefited LA-area kids for more than a decade.

  1. This is ironic, because AM 870’is one of Salem Broadcasting’s extreme right wing stations. And the station and their right wing hosts are fiercely all about cutting government entitlement programs, the exact opposite of helping the poor and those in need.
