Beasley All In On Podcasting

The Beasley Media Group was all over Podcast Movement in Philadelphia this week. Not only did CEO Caroline Beasley introduce the keynote speaker, NPR CEO Jarl Mohn, during the Jacobs Media Broadcasters meet Podcasters session Wednesday morning, Beasley Media was one of the main sponsors. As part of the sponsorship, Beasley handed out the items pictured here.

The smaller item is called a popsocket phone grip and stand. The other is a marketing piece announcing the launch of a new Beasley Podcast Initiative. The company has been talking about that initiative all week but would not give out too many details. Our guess is it will be some sort of podcast app. During Mohn’s introduction Caroline Beasley said the company would be giving “storytellers an opportunity to entertain and enlighten their audience,” and encouraged everyone to tell them their story at [email protected]

Both Caroline Beasley and Buzz Knight are already doing podcasts, among others in the company. Beasley’s is called Beyond the Business and Knight’s is called Healthy Paranoia. Knight will be heading up the new Beasley podcast initiative. He says the initiative will be rolled out some time in Q4.

Beasley Media Group hosted a special reception during Podcast Movement on Wednesday, July 25th at the Bank and Barrel in Philadelphia. Attendees included local and national podcasters as well as Philadelphia personalities.
