Michael Kay, host of The Michael Kay Show on ESPN 98.7FM New York, will be inducted into the New York State Broadcasters Association’s Hall of Fame for 2018. Kay is also the voice of the New York Yankees, and host of CenterStage for the YES network. He will be honored on Thursday, October 18, at the Jacob Javits Center.

Kay said, “I am extremely humbled by this honor, to stand alongside the others that have been inducted to this prestigious hall is somewhat surreal for a kid from the Bronx who started out in this business as a newspaper man. I thank those who voted for me. It is greatly appreciated.”

Tim McCarthy, senior vice president of ESPN Radio Group, commented, “Michael has been the  cornerstone of ESPN radio New York since our inception. From my days working with Michael at WABC when he was the radio voice of the Yankees, he has been nothing but the ultimate professional and a great friend.“
