FCC Commissioner Brendan Carr will give remarks prior to the discussion. The panel, called “Crisis on the Strip: Reporting in an Unfolding Emergency,” will be held Tuesday, April 10 at 1:30 p.m.

“Local broadcasters fully embrace our responsibility as ‘first informers’ during times of crisis, partnering with first responders to provide critical information that keep the public out of harm’s way,” said NAB Executive Vice President of Communications Dennis Wharton. “This panel offers broadcasters the chance to hear firsthand the critical lessons learned from this tragedy and how we can adapt to best serve our communities.”
