Country station WACO 100/Waco-Killeen announced Monday the 25th anniversary of two of its shows: Afternoons with John Elliott (weekdays 3-7 p.m.) and The Zack and Jim Morning Show (weekdays from 6-10 a.m.). Elliott (pictured left) has been in the radio industry for over 33 years and began broadcasting his afternoon show on WACO-FM in Waco, Texas in 1993. Since then, Afternoons with John Elliott has steadily been the number one show for its timeslot in the Central Texas area for over 20 years. Meanwhile, Zack and Jim host two signature events: The Anniversary Blowout and The Zack & Jim Golf Tournament. Between them, the two shows do a great deal of charity work.
“John Elliott represents the very best in Central Texas radio,” said Zack Owen, SVPP. “The impact he’s made both on and off the airwaves will be felt for decades to come. We’re thrilled he’s celebrating 25 years at WACO 100.”
Jim said, “We’ve worked together for so long that we know what each other is thinking and can finish each other’s sentences; we’re like an old married couple.” “We have been very blessed and honored to serve such a great community,” said Zack. “And we are very thankful to have been given the tools needed from iHeartmedia.”
