Former WFAN host Craig Carton plead not guilty yesterday to fraud charges and told reporters outside a Manhattan courthouse he is “unequivocally not guilty.” The 48-year old said he was “shocked when I was arrested and even more surprised that the government was accusing me of running a complete sham as they put it.”
Carton was arrested in September on charges that he misappropriated millions of dollars from two investors in a ticket reselling business. Authorities claim he used some of the money to pay off gambling debts. Carton said he intends to see this all the way through to a not guilty verdict from a jury of his peers.
