Lisa Stephens, sister of The Country Oldies Show host Steve Warren, passed away in Indiana on Thursday, May 4, from complications of COPD. Stephens lived and worked in New York City for 20 years at the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers, CBS records, Warner Brothers’ promotional product licensing, and several music management companies.
Steve Warren said of his sister, “Our father was a radio DJ in Louisville, so even though we were 12 years apart, we both wound up in media and entertainment. As my kid sister, she was tagging along with my peer group in Indiana and came to visit regularly in the markets where I worked in radio. I am sure many of my radio extended-family remember her. There will be no services or funeral in Indiana, but we’ll plan something on her 60th birthday in December here in New York.”
Lisa and Steve grew up in New Albany, Indiana, and Lisa was Steve’s only sibling.
