Rico Colindres, the creator and mastermind behind the nationally syndicated Carmen Calls, has been cast as a series regular in George Lopez’s new single-camera comedy Lopez. Colindres has just started filming his role as Lopez’s friend, Eduardo. The show is set to debut this March on TV Land.
Colindres, who has worked at legendary stations like KIIS-FM Los Angeles, WQHT-Hot 97 New York, and KYLD San Francisco, believes he wouldn’t be in his current situation without all of his experience in radio. “Morning radio is like Navy Seal training for television,” he said.” There is no way this happens for me without radio.”
