Triton: Online Listening Continues To Grow

In its May ranker, Triton Digital reports that overall streaming listening continues its steady growth, both for streaming pureplays and AM/FM radio.

Millennial listening continues to outpace listening of other generations. In May 2016, Millennials accounted for 60.5% of all listening, followed by Generation X (27.9%), and Baby Boomers (10.4%).

The age groups with the most online listening in May 2016 are ages 20-29 (37.4%), 30-39 (26.1%), and 40-49 (15.3%). Pandora, Spotify, and iHeartRadio were top three in the May ranker respectively, based on Active Average Sessions.
