Libsyn's podcast advertising marketplace AdvertiseCast has released the monthly CPM rates for April 2023. Based on actual sales data from thousands of shows, the average CPM rate for a 60-second ad spot in April 2023 had nearly a $1.00 increase compared to the previous month.

Author D.X. Ferris has launched Talkin' Slayer: A Podcast And Half-Assed Audiobook, the first podcast dedicated entirely to the thrash metal band Slayer. YouTube is now offering podcasts on YouTube Music in the United States. This feature allows users to transition from watching video podcasts on the main YouTube app to listening to their audio counterparts on YouTube Music. The app will allow offline listening as well.
