With all sporting events cancelled or on hold, 850 ESPN Cleveland created a new show to get fans ready for the only major sports event on the calendar — the April 23rd NFL Draft.

Frank Lopez-Balboa has been hired as Cumulus' new Chief Financial Officer. Most recently, Lopez-Balboa served as CFO of Hispanic Broadcaster Univision Communications.

The focusing of these professional resources will enable Benztown to support and power its partnership with Yamanair Creative, which provides custom commercial creative to stations and their sales representatives in over 400 markets.

Entercom has revamped the lineup at KROQ-FM in Los Angeles. Current afternoon drive co-hosts Stryker and Kevin Klein will move to mornings after Kevin Ryder, the remaining half of the Kevin and Bean show, and his morning show cast, were let go.

iHeartMedia Harrisonburg, VA, has named Bridgett Knupp Market President for the six-station cluster. Knupp previously served as SVP of Sales for the cluster. She will also be responsible for the market’s operations, including sales, on-air and digital programming, events, and promotion initiatives.

Haskell will join Max Media’s Norfolk/Virginia Beach cluster as VP of Operations and Programming on April 1. He will also serve as Brand Manager and afternoon personality of WGH-FM (New Country 97.3 The Eagle).

Country Radio Broadcasters has announced the 2020-2021 Agenda Committee leadership: Brent Michaels (KUZZ/Bakersfield) serving as Chairman and Joey Tack (KNCI/Sacramento) serving as Vice Chair. Applications are now being taken from industry professionals who would like to serve on the committee.

Jay West has been promoted to Brand Manager of Max Media’s AC station WVBW (92.9 The WAVE). West joined the station last January as the afternoon host.

Jim “JJ” Johnson has been named morning show co-host for Detroit Hits station 104.3 WOMC (WOMC-FM). Johnson will join JoAnne Purtan as co-host of JJ and JoAnne. Johnson will also continue serving as the station’s midday show host.
