iHeart Host Russ Martin Found Dead
Martin was the afternoon host on KEGL-FM 97.1 The Eagle in Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas. Martin was found unresponsive in his home Saturday. No cause of death was announced and police do not believe foul play was involved. Martin was 60 years old.
Tavlin Promoted In Tampa
Scott “Scotty the Body'' Tavlin has been promoted to full-time Morning Show Producer and Midday On-Air Talent on HOT 101.5 (WPOI-FM). Scott will also join Cox Media Group Orlando sister station, K92.3 (WWKA-FM) as their night show host.
Bongino Hits 100
Westwood One’s Dan Bongino Show is now heard on over 100 stations, with the latest affiliate KSVL-FM in Reno putting Bongino at the 100 mark. The Conservative talker, a former Secret Service Agent, launched in March 2020. He also served as a NYPD officer from 1995 to 1999.

Quiet Storm Host Tony Brown Dead at 75
Tony Brown had been part of WDAS-FM in Philadelphia for over 45 years before retiring in 2018 for health reasons. Brown died Wednesday. The station will be paying tribute to Brown all day today.
