Murphy Taking over Valentine Slot

WZRR Birmingham talker Matt Murphy said on his show Friday that he'll be the permanent noon to 3PM replacement for the late Phil Valentine on WWTN in Nashville. Valentine died because of complications from COVID-19 earlier this year. Both stations are owned by Cumulus.

St. Louis Jazz Host Passes

Dennis Owsley, long-time host of St. Louis Public Radio's Jazz Unlimited program has died. Owsley hosted the program for more than 30 years before retiring in 2019.

Barnett Leaves Audacy For Townsquare

Townsquare Media in Buffalo has hired Bob Barnett as Director of Content and Brand Manager for country station WYRK-FM and 'Relaxing Favorites' WMSX-FM. Barnett spent 21 years with Audacy in Rochester, including the last eight year as VP of  Programming.

New Year, New CBS Sports Radio Show

Maggie Gray and Andrew Perloff will be teaming up for a new show on CBS Sports Radio. Audacy says the afternoon show will be heard on more than 300 stations beginning January 3.

Ken Matthews Media and Talk Media Network have entered into a long-term agreement to produce and syndicate The Ken Matthews Show. It will be available for the Noon to 3 p.m. ET daypart. Matthews was a guest host for Rush Limbaugh for four years.

Moose & Maggie Out at WFAN

Audacy announced late Thursday that the Tiki & Tierney show will take over the 10AM to 2PM slot on WFAN in New York City. The show moves over to WFAN from the CBS Sports Radio and will replace the Moose & Maggie show who's contracts were up at the end of this year.

KIRO Kicks Off New Afternoon Show

The John Curley and Shari Show has debuted on KIRO. Shari Elliker has joined John Curley for the 3-7 p.m. show on the Bonneville Seattle news-talker. Elliker replaces retired co-host Tom Tangney.
