After more than two years away, Rob Kirkpatrick is rejoining Townsquare Media in Lafayette, Louisiana. Kirkpatrick will step into afternoons at adult contemporary 99.9 KTDY, and will host the 5 O'Clock Traffic Jam.

Newton Minow, the former chair of the U.S. Federal Communications Commission who championed the start of satellite networks, passed away on May 6 at the age of 97. Minow was an early and powerful proponent of communication satellites.

As of May 8, Ronnie Glover is Beasley Media Group's VP and Market Manager for Fayetteville, NC. Glover comes to Beasley from Alpha Media's Bethany/Cameron, Missouri branch, where he was Market Manager of KAAN-FM/AM, KKWK-FM, and KMRN-AM.

Melissa DeRosa, the former aide to former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo, has found a new job on radio. She will join 77 WABC to host a weekly Sunday talk show after being a regular contributor. No start date has been set.

Audacy has announced leadership promotions for 670 The Score (WSCR-AM) in Chicago. Mitch Rosen has been promoted to the station's Vice President and Brand Manager, while Ryan Porth has been promoted to Program Manager, reporting to Rosen.

Hubbard Washington D.C.'s National Security Correspondent JJ Green will serve as the commencement speaker for Champlain College Online's undergraduate and master's students. Green will also be awarded a Doctorate of Humane Letters, honoris causa.

Cumulus Media Appleton-Oshkosh has announced the appointment of Operations Manager Jay Philpott for their five stations. He will also serve as PD and afternoon host for Classic Hits station 103.9 WVBO. Philpott returns to Wisconsin from Cumulus' Minneapolis cluster.
