Spotify Says ‘We’d Like To Raise Prices In 2023’
During their 2023 Q1 earnings call, Spotify CEO Daniel Ek hinted that the company may raise subscription prices in the US this year. Spotify increased prices last year in 46 different markets, and Ek noted that the streamer will consider raising prices in the US after negotiations with labels.

John "JP" Piccillo has been named as programming consultant and midday host for Radio One Buffalo's Big WECK. Piccillo joins the oldies station from Cumulus Classic Rocker WGRF 96.9 across town, where he spent nearly three decades. Piccillo starts his on-air work on May 1st.
Cumulus Country Stays Up With New Overnight Show
Artist-forward platform PickleJar and Cumulus Media have partnered on PickleJar Up All Night, a daily country program hosted by Patrick Thomas. The show will air live across Cumulus Media’s country stations in 47 markets seven nights a week, midnight to 5a ET starting May 5.

He helped to break Nirvana, Beck, Weezer, Foo Fighters, and Garbage in the 1990s, and now a Rock & Roll Hall of Famer is switching frequencies in Seattle. Hubbard AAA 98.9 KPNW is adding Marco Collins to afternoons starting May 1st. He was previously part of the on-air staff at KEXP.

After a frequency flip with Bigfoot Poconos, Seven Mountains Media is launching POCO 103 (WPCO) in Pennsylvania starting Wednesday morning. The new station replaces Pocono 96.7, which Seven Moutains bought from Neversink Media Group earlier this year.

FCC To Pirate Landowners: Enforcement Is Coming
The FCC's Enforcement Bureau issued warnings to sixteen landowners in the New York City/New Jersey area for allowing illegal broadcasting from their property. The warnings were sent out as part of the Bureau's crackdown under their expanded authority via the PIRATE Act.
