Warner Bros. Unscripted Television, in collaboration with Telepictures and Audacy, is set to expand the reach of its Emmy Award-winning TV show Extra with the debut of Extra: The Podcast. The podcast aims to offer listeners a more comprehensive look into the week’s top entertainment news, going beyond the constraints of the daily 30-minute TV show.
Hosted by Extra senior correspondent and weekend co-host Melvin Robert, Extra: The Podcast will premiere on September 13. New episodes will be released weekly on Wednesdays and will be accessible via the Audacy app and other podcast platforms.
The podcast will feature extended versions of interviews from Extra, giving listeners access to unfiltered conversations with celebrities that didn’t make it into the TV broadcast. Extra‘s executive producers Jeremy Spiegel and Theresa Coffino commented, “We could not be more thrilled to partner with Audacy for Extra: The Podcast as part of our milestone 30th season.
