Four top podcast producers – NPR, WNYC Studios, WBEZ Chicago, and This American Life – have announced the acquisition of podcast app Pocket Cast.

Jenn Marino has been named as on-air host for ALT 103.7 KVIL-FM in Dallas-Fort Worth. Marino will lead morning drive as well as all three prime dayparts. She was previously a co-host for Sixx Sense with Nikki Sixx.

The Corporation for Public Broadcasting has announced a grant of $25,000 to WUSF Public Media, Florida, for Veterans Coming Home: Finding What Works, a digital-first content and engagement project.

On Wednesday, Cadence13, in collaboration with Nielsen, released the first in a series of research reports about podcast listeners and their spending habits. The report called "The Purchasing Power of Podcast Listeners" includes data collected over 52 weeks

Rich Knopke has been hired by the programmatic company as Chief Revenue Officer. He'll be responsible for driving revenue and expanding relationships with the radio industry and digital audio publishers. He'll also be developing relationships with advertisers and agencies.

Cumulus has hired Jim Riley as Vice President/Market Manager for Cumulus' Buffalo cluster. It's a return to the frozen tundra of upstate New York for Riley, who was GSM for the four stations prior to his promotion to VP/Market Manager for Cumulus in Erie in 2005. He replaced Steve Bearance who is moving south with his family.

The Bob & Tom Show has entered into a multi-year agreement with Westwood One, to continue to syndicate the award-winning morning radio show. The show is broadcast on over 100 affiliates in markets across the U.S. 

CBS News will relaunch Intelligence Matters, the podcast hosted by former CIA Acting Director and CBS News National Security Contributor Michael Morell, with an all-new edition available to listeners on May 2.

Premiere Networks and Orbyt Media are teaming up to distribute The Bobby Bones Show in Canada. Orbyt currently syndicates Bones’ weekend countdown program Country Top 30 with Bobby Bones, which is already being carried by stations in Ontario, Saskatchewan, New Brunswick, British Columbia, and Manitoba.

Nia Marciante has been named Promotions Director for iHeartMedia Washington, DC’s WASH-FM and WMZQ-FM. Marciante will report to Kim Sauer, Marketing Director for iHeartMedia’s Washington, DC, region.
