Tonight at 7pm CST Compass Media's DeDe In The Morning will host a Facebook Live event about Race in America. She'll have guests from four of her affiliate cities; Dallas, Pittsburgh, Milwaukee and New Haven.

After being fired one week ago, former iHeart Rochester hosts Kimberly & Beck are apologizing for racist comments (Kimberly) Ray made on WAIO-FM. They say the apology is not to try to get their jobs back but because they said hurtful things.

The FCC plans to randomly audit 5% of stations every year to make sure they are adhering to the Commission's EEO requirements. As Broadcast Attorney David Oxenford points out, 35 stations were audited this week. Stations must have 2 year's worth of EEO reports in their public file.

Perry Stone joins Classic Rocker WXJK-FM in Farmville, Virginia. Stone's new gig is minutes outside of Charlottesville where he worked afternoons on Saga’s WWWV-3WV for seven years. Beginning June 22nd, Stone picks up the 3-6pm shift on the Rocker.

Starting in July ESPN will switch over to Megaphone's publishing and ad insertion platform for its network of podcasts. ESPN will use Megaphone's hosting, publishing, dynamic ad insertion, campaign management, forecasting, and analytics tools.

A Minor League Baseball (MiLB) Broadcaster is setting up a fund that will provide a grant that he hopes will bring diversity to the broadcast booth. The fund is an effort to put black broadcasters behind the Minor League mics.

KNBR 104.5/680 AM raised more than $100,000 to help a San Francisco area non-profit aid families impacted by COVID-19. The Cumulus Media station partnered with Giving In Motion for the GoFundMe online campaign.

The COVID-19 related struggles continue for radio companies. As some states move quicker than others to open their economies back up, radio companies with clusters spread across the country also have to deal with slower moving states, which means a longer wait for advertisers to ramp up and spend money.
