Five members of the House and two more Senators have joined as co-sponsors of the Local Radio Freedom Act, which is a resolution opposing "any new performance fee, tax, royalty, or other charge" on local broadcast radio stations. The resolution now has 225 co-sponsors in the House of Representatives and 23 in the Senate.

The site highlights the public service, charitable outreach, lifeline reporting, and investigative journalism of local broadcasters. The site also provides broadcasters with access to PSA campaigns.
Townsquare, which operates in 66 small and medium markets, reported flat local ad revenue for the final three months of 2015 and for the full year.
Townsquare CEO Steven Price said 2015 was a very good year for the company. "Half our revenue comes from sources other than radio ad sales and Townsquare Media reached profitability for the first time."
