Entercom Changes Name To Audacy
The announcement was made Tuesday that Entercom is now Audacy. The company’s new ticker symbol will be AUD. The Radio.com brand will go away and fall under the Audacy name as well.
DraftKings Buys VSiN
VSiN, founded in 2017 by the Musburger family, operates out of Las Vegas and produces about 18 hours of sports betting content daily. CEO Brian Musburger will continue in his role and VSiN will retain editorial independence. Terms of the sale were not disclosed.

G. Gordon Liddy Dies
The former FBI agent, best known for his role in the 1972 Watergate break-in that led to the resignation of Richard Nixon, hosted a conservative talk show syndicated by Radio America on 270 radio stations. He retired in 2012. Liddy, a father of five, was 90 years old.
Radio Cares Zoom Call Set For April 6
On Tuesday April 6 at 11:30 AM Eastern a national conference call will be held for all stations participating in the 2nd annual Radio Cares: Feeding America Radiothon. Stations have until April 13th to sign up HERE. The radiothon is being held April 14th.
Saga Raises Over $15K For United Way
Ithaca, New York station WYXL-FM (Lite Rock 97.3) raised the money during their Wine and Dine 2021, a 13 hour event featuring auction items from local restaurants and wine shops.
Veteran Tampa Host Tedd Webb Dies
As we reported back on March 24th, the long-time WFLA host was moved into Hospice care. Webb passed away Tuesday afternoon. He was suffering from dialysis and dementia. Webb's family is planning a tribute for their father that will be announced soon. Webb left radio back in 2017. Art Vuolo has a video tribute HERE.
KRYS Corpus Christi Helps St. Jude
K-99 (KRYS-FM) Corpus Christi, TX held its’ first ever radiothon for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. The event was rescheduled to March, because of the February winter storm.
Lawless Adds Houston Market As RVP
Cox Media Group has appointed Keith Lawless as Regional Vice President for Tampa and Houston. Lawless has been running Tampa for CMG since 2009. He's also been a GM and a GSM for the company. Lawless was recognized as Radio Ink’s Radio Wayne GM of the Year in 2016 and has been on Radio Ink’s 30 Best Managers List several times.
WAMU Expanding News Coverage
WAMU 88.5 , Washington’s NPR news station has announced a multiyear plan to reshape its news division to provide more in-depth, local news coverage. The upgrade includes the addition of eight new full-time news positions.
