Salem Media Group has announced the retirement of 24-year veteran Pat Ryan, General Manager of the Boston cluster. The company also announced the promotion of Carole Howley Simmons (pictured) as General Manager of Salem Boston.

The Cox-Tulsa cluster has a new Chief Engineer, Morgan Grammer, for all five radio stations. Previously, Grammer was Chief Engineer for Griffin Communications in Tulsa.
Emmis Forming New Public Company With Standard General
Emmis Communications has signed an agreement to form a new public company, Mediaco Holding, with New York investment firm Standard General. Mediaco Holding will purchase WBLS-FM and WQHT-FM (HOT 97) in New York for $96 million.
Ohana Sells Four Honolulu Stations
Pacific Media Group is buying ʻOhana Broadcasting Company's four Honolulu radio stations (KDDB-FM, KUMU-FM, KQMQ-FM, and KPOI-FM). Once this sale closes, Pacific Media Group will own a total of 20 radio stations.

Sheridan & Disney Join Forces For New Project
Sheridan Broadcasting Corp. has entered into a new venture with Radio Disney. Radio Disney has agreed to license its video content to SBC. The audio will be broadcast on SBC’s radio station WIGO-AM in Atlanta, GA, and simultaneously the video will be streamed at wigoam.com.
General Manager Falsified Station Documents
The Columbus Dispatch is reporting that WCBE-FM GM Dan Mushalko falsified invoices to manipulate cash flow and hide that the station owed nearly $870,000 to NPR for years. Mushalko didn't tell district officials until early this year.
