A ceremony was held in South Philly for WDAS host Patty Jackson. Jackson grew up on the 2300 block of Ellsworth Street and on Friday the city named that street after her. It's now called Patty Jackson Way. Jackson has been on the air in Philadelphia for nearly 4 decades. A video of the ceremony can be found HERE.

Dale Weber was a long time radio executive and a Minnesota Broadcasting Hall of Fame member. He managed stations for Saga, Nationwide, Storz and Park.

The WBSU Hall of Fame Selection Committee has announced its 2022 class. Six Alumni of SUNY Brockport, will be honored April 2, 2022.

In September of 2019 KXLG-FM (Watertown, SD) owner Bob Faehn was diagnosed with cancer. Last month he passed away. Faehn launched the station in 2009 and was a big proponent of live and local. One of his first hires, who like many starting in radio, did everything in the building, was Melissa Herrboldt. Now, she owns the station.

Sports USA has reached an agreement with the National Hockey League to be the league’s exclusive live national radio play-by-play partner through the 2024-2025 season. The broadcasts will include select regular season games through the hockey season.

Following a national search Erika Aguilar has been named Executive Producer for Morning Edition and Up First. Aguilar begins November 8th and moves over from KQED, where she's the podcast director, overseeing podcast production teams, new show development and on demand strategy.

Radio's Premiere Event, Forecast 2022, will be looking at what broadcasters need to know to leverage the dramatic changes 2020 brought to the course of advertising. Forecast 2022 is set for November 16, 2021 at the Harvard Club, NYC.

An interesting battle is about to boil up in Boston. Audacy has hired Mike Thomas as Market Manager. Thomas was PD of The Sports Hub in Boston when it was owned by Entercom (now Audacy), a station the company chose to divest (to Beasley) after the CBS merger.
