Christian Contract Extended to 2027
Saga Communications CEO Ed Christian's contract was extended another two years by the Saga Board of Directors this week. He will now run the company until at least 2027. Christian has been the Saga CEO since its inception in 1986.
Bonneville Picks Up Thompson From Audacy
Bonneville Phoenix has named Sean Thompson Program Director for 98.7 FM Arizona’s Sports Station and ESPN 620 Phoenix. Thompson moves to Phoenix from Atlanta where he was APD for Audacy's 92.9 The Game.
New ATC Host At KUT 90.5
Austin, TX NPR station, KUT 90.5 has named Jerry Quijano as permanent host of “All Things Considered”. He has been with the station since 2017.
Radio Veteran Tim Byrd Passes
Tim Byrd, known as 'The Byrdman' has died. The Get Up and Go Morning Show was carried on VCMG Live True Oldies Channel 95.9 FM in the Palm Beaches and 106.9 FM on the Treasure Coast.
Audacy Promotes Dan Hardee
Dan Hardee is the new Brand Manager for 99.5 The Mountain (KQMT-FM). Hardee has been with the station since 2016. Hardee will continue to host afternoons at the station and on Rochester, NY sister station WCMF-FM.

Ron Gaskill has been hired by SiriusXM as Director of Communications. Gaskill comes over from PR firm Blake Zidell & Associates.

104.3 WZYP in Huntsville, AL led a successful toy drive to help families devastated by tornadoes that hit Kentucky December 10, 2021. The station along with Toys for Tots collected more than 2,000 toys during the event January 11, 2022.
