Urban One founder Cathy Hughes has been inducted into The Black Music and Entertainment Walk of Fame in Atlanta. The Walk of Fame is a joint initiative by the Black American Music Association and Georgia Entertainment Caucus. Hughes was inducted by her son, Urban One CEO Alfred Liggins.
Dayton Sports Host Passes
Former Dayton Sports radio host Mark Schlemmer died Monday at the age of 65. WING-AM made the announcement on Facebook. Schlemmer had open heart surgery in April and had been hospitalized since the surgery. He retired in 2018 due to health issues.

ECU Extends Radio Sports Agreement
East Carolina University marketing rightsholder, Playfly Sports Properties, has extended its broadcast agreement with Inner Banks Media. The extension puts ECU Pirates football, basketball and baseball on flagship station WNCT-FM through 2027.
